Reservations
 
•If you would like to check availability for a specific date, would like advice regarding which package is right for you or have any questions at all, simply call us at 732-708-1923, e-mail us or submit a reservation request.
 
• Reservations will not be confirmed until we receive a 50% nonrefundable deposit. Reservation deposit is viewed by JSGW as an agreement to commence wedding/civil union planning services and is therefore nonrefundable.
 
Obtaining Your License
 
• We will assist you in obtaining your Civil Union license by making an appointment for you with our town clerk in time for your ceremony.
 
• Once the application is made there is a 72 hour waiting period prior to the issuance of the license. If the couple applies separately the 72 hour waiting period begins after the first applicant has completed the application. There is no waiting period for a Reaffirmation of Civil Union. The license is good for 30 days from the day that you receive it.
 
• The $28 fee is not included in your package.
 
• On the day that you apply for your license you must bring all documents that establish your identity, age, gender, residency and your Social Security Number if you are a U.S. resident. If you are divorced, please bring your divorce papers.
 
• You must also bring a witness. There is no requirement as to how long the witness has known you. The witness must be of legal age (18) and verify, via the documents provided by the applicants, the age and residence of the applicants and identify if there is known to them any impediment to the Civil Union.
 
Payment Information
 
• A 50% non-refundable deposit must be made in order to reserve your date.
 
• Once we receive your deposit and the signed contract, we will send you a confirmation e-mail or letter outlining all the details of your package and any additional services you may have requested. This confirmation will be updated as necessary.
 
• Additional deposits may be required for receptions and to secure locations, rentals and/or other vendors or services. These additional deposits are also non-refundable upon receipt as required by the site provider or sub-contractor.
 
• Final payment of remaining balance on your event is due NO LATER than 30 days prior to the scheduled event date. Changes to wedding packages, services or items reserved are acceptable up until 30 days prior to your ceremony. If changes are made regarding vendors or locations that have been secured with a deposit, this deposit may be forfeited. All payments will become non-refundable 30 days prior to your event date. Any additions to a wedding package are acceptable provided we are able to secure the services requested within this time frame and payment is made in full immediately.
 
• 45 days prior to the event we will send you an estimated bill, which we require to be paid within 30 days prior to your ceremony. Your final bill will reflect all deposits.
 
• For your convenience, any incidental charges you incur will automatically be charged to the credit card number kept on file and a final accounting will be provided within one week after the ceremony.
 
Guests at Your Ceremony
 
• You may have as many guests at your ceremony as permitted by the particular location. Additional fees may apply for location access and wedding coordination for 7 or more guests at your ceremony.
 
• No chairs or artificial barriers that obstruct public access are permitted in most Federal and State Parks and Beaches
 
• Unless you have reserved Sandy Hook Cottage for a private reception, no unregistered guests are allowed to use our facilities or guests areas.
 
Wedding Receptions at Sandy Hook Cottage
 
• Your wedding reception will be planned as a three-hour event which must conclude no later than 10 PM.
 
• Your inclusive package includes room accommodations, daily breakfast and on-site catering for your reception with a wedding cake and wait staff.
 
• Because we do not have a liquor license, you must supply any alcoholic beverages
 
• All available guestrooms must be booked to insure your privacy. (No exceptions!)
 
• All available rooms must be reserved for two nights. (No exceptions!)
 
• All rooms must be paid for when you reserve your date. Room reservations are non-refundable unless we rebook the entire B&B. Regardless, a $250 cancellation fee will apply.
 
• Holiday and special event weekends are not available unless you choose to book for our minimum 3 nights stay and at the holiday rate.
 
• Each guestroom sleeps a maximum of two guests on a queen size bed.
 
• Additional off-site rooms are available upon request.
 
• You must provide us with an accommodations guest list at least 2 weeks prior to the ceremony so that we may mail confirmation letters on your behalf.
 
Taxes and Gratuities
 
• Prices do not reflect the 7% Sales Tax and an additional 5% Lodging Tax for all room accommodations.
 
• 20% gratuity will automatically be applied to all restaurant dinners, spa services and limo reservations.
